What is laminate floor?

Laminate Floor is a layered floor built around a watertight, glued High Density Fibre (HDF) board. All Laminate floors consist of four different layers.
A transparent overlay, a design layer, a moisture resistant glued HDF core board and a balancing layer

Can I have a striped carpet on winding stairs?

Absolutely you can! There are a few things that need to be taken into account though before committing to stripes, such as how many turns, direction of pile and of course budget. Call into store and we can discuss further

Which is best - wood or laminate?

Wood flooring remains one of the most popular options, as it is a natural, inviting, beautiful and timeless material. Engineered wood is made of harvested trees, and depending on which one you select can significantly add value to your home. Both real and engineered wood have pros and cons so speak to one of our specialists to find out more.

Whilst laminate (quick-step) is made from pressed HDF, it is more durable and resistant to scratches, moisture and wear and tear. Laminate flooring is also easier to clean.

Why not call into store to have a consultation?

Wool carpet or man-made (polypropylene, nylon etc)?

How a carpet performs is dependant on the fibre content. It has a bearing on durability, resilience and appearance. Where in the home it is used is very important also so call into store to discuss where you want your carpet to go and how long you can expect it to last.

At Westbrook Carpets and Laminates we pride ourselves on giving our customers open and honest advise.
